June 2024, I purchased Safari G. Dyed Linen Shirt Olive Ash XL (euros 159)
My height: 5ft 10in, or 178 cm, with slim build
Given reviews & to be safe, I chose XL
Even so, still quite tight around chest & shoulders!
Already seam is tearing (see pic attached), in Jul 2024!
I like shirt & style (would prefer without arm badges)
When available, I may consider purchasing XXL
I have a medium in faded navy which fits comfortably so I ordered another in desert and also the short sleeve version in desert both mediums. Both were significantly smaller then my faded navy and were so small they would probably tear if I moved around in them. Very big difference in size, not sure which is the correct size. There isn't a large desert in stock so I can't exchange and I don't want to risk getting a medium or large in another colour if I don't know which is correct. If I had to guess I'd say the medium desert is probably a small and the medium faded navy is probably a large as one is so small it restricts movement and the other is pretty generous. I'm 6ft tall 71kg athletic build.
Fit is perfect, fabric is just as I hoped. Thin yet robust to survive any adventure you throw at it! This is the shirt you have been looking for!!
Poor quality and too expensive. The holes appear after a while.
Price/quality is not in proportion.
I ordered both Large and Medium shirts based on a review that said to size up. Two big issues- laying the L and M on top of each other, they were EXACTLY the same size (the Large was actually Medium- color: Desert). Then I opened a Medium in Olive Ash to compare. It was a Medium , BUT, the collar was 1 cm (.4 in) taller than the Desert shirt. I hate tall collars and that extra height makes a big difference in the look. I will try exchanging and report back.
