We tagged along with (part-time) weekend warriors, (full-time) engineers, and (long-time) friends of Amundsen, Torgeir & Morten, on their Easter route from Finse, over Hardangerjøkulen, down to the Demmevasshytta Hut, and back to Finse.
Those with proper glacier-travel experience can choose the route down the majestic Rembedalskåka Glacier – for those without, hiring a charming guide like AK Glück at Finse 1222 remains a reliable option. To ensure you’ll have a bed at Demmevasshytta for the night, remember to contact DNT Oslo (The Norwegian Trekking Association) in advance.
