A year ago I got two pairs of these. The brown ones I wore on a three week trip to Europe. The white pair I pretty much wore around Los Angeles, and to work. I am a photographer, so I am on my feet a lot. Always for walking, nothing too strenuous. The ribbons that you thread the lace through broke on both pair. This actually happened a while back. I’m just now posting this. It’s a very comfortable shoe and I love the style of it but I feel like this is a bit of a design flaw. The other products I have from Amundsen have held up much better. 7 inch field shorts and some cargo shorts, although the stitching on the cargo shorts has popped in a few places. I also picked up two pair of the Vagabon pants as I am out in the desert a lot so we’ll see how those hold up. I’m always looking for clothing that toes that line between fashionable and durable. I was hoping for a bit more durability.
I ordered a pair of these in white that arrived with a defective strap on the back. Amundsen’s customer service was excellent. They put another pair in the mail same day. In the time it took that pair to get to me, I wore the other ones around my place a bit and could tell they were one of the most comfortable shoes I had worn. So I ordered them in the cowboy as well. I’m a photographer and I’m on my feet all the time, couldn’t be happier!
One of the most comfy sneakers I’ve ever worn. The material quality feels really good, the fit is true to size and you don’t have to break them in. Fashionable and practical, perfect for casual strolling or a sudden hike.
