During our adventures on horseback traversing the bold and striking landscape of Inner Mongolia, we began to understand the true essence of cashmere.
Crossing these desolate plains, we witnessed firsthand the harsh conditions in which the Kashmiri goats thrive under the care of nomadic tribes. The region’s blistering summers and freezing winters serve as a testing ground where only the hardiest survive - and it’s here that these remarkable goats produce their prized ‘under-fleece’. The softest, warmest, and lightest wool in the world.
This journey not only deepened our appreciation for this luxurious fiber, but also reaffirmed our commitment to its ethical and sustainable harvesting. Each piece of Amundsen cashmere carries the spirit of Inner Mongolia, crafted from fibers that embody the rugged beauty and enduring wildness of the land.
Garment Care
This garment is made from delicate fibers. When stored, it should be given space to rest between wears to keep the shape and remain fresh. All knits will stretch when hung, therefore you should fold your sweaters to keep the shape when you store it.
