For generations, the Norwegian autumn has been defined by the hunt and the harvest – a time to stock up and prepare for the cold, dark, winter months. This period of heightened connection with nature demands garments as timeless as the land itself.
Inspired by the iconic woolen fabrics of the Austrian Alps, this collection serves as a dependable, timeless, and stylish wardrobe for town and country – made to last for generations. Comprised of Europe’s finest materials: Austrian loden wool, French corduroy, and Scottish waxed cotton, these pieces remain water resistant, warm, and silent throughout the twilight of the year.

Loden, a specific wool variety woven in Tyrol, Austria, is uniquely characterized by its water resistance. Its manufacturing process ensures that water droplets bead and run off its exterior, while maintaining a soft, felt-like feel. We have thoughtfully selected Loden as the centerpiece material in our Huntsman and Huntress Collection for its timeless look and utilitarian function.
These specific technical characteristics answered the needs of hunters, shepherds, and farmers living in the Alps, who routinely faced extreme conditions throughout the winter. Our specific Loden, made in Austria’s oldest Loden factor, Leichtfried (est. 1884), is of the most durable and weather-resistant quality.
