The Heroes Fleece is a hooded comforter in a soft yet rugged sherpa wool fleece. It’s a natural undyed piece – meaning that the color comes from a mix of sheep wool. We have applied a chest pocket in waxed linen/cotton – the kind of convenient feature the old explorers would sew themselves while in camp.Wool ribs on waist and cuffs. Mens version also fits a hand warmer tunnel pocket.

Really nice sweater. I ordered one size up and you will want to also unless you’re a Euro bony dude. This sweater is made to be worn loose fitting like the hut pants but the sizes are off one on these. It ain’t a turtleneck, so don’t try to wear it like one.
Love it. Warm, excellent quality and timeless. I’m in love that it smells natural, like true wool should! My favorite brand, I love what they do.

There are some points to mention. I would say that buying one size up is not correct. Maybe for american sizes that is the case, but not for EU sizes. This one is true to size for europeans.
There is just a very light smell of wool. Which is part of having bought the real thing.
It is only a little little bit itchy at the neck as there is no lining in the hood. But it hasnt bothered me at all. Also part of buying wool. The body of the sweater is lined so no direct wool contact.
The sweater is not wind proof so wearing a layer underneath is needed to be proof.
I usually use XL, but ordered XXL and it just fits me. However, it smells very much of sheep. Anyone being near me can smell it. It's also pretty itchy on the inside and in neck region. I just washed it wool detergent, but it still smells.
I have another sweater from Amundsen, boiled hoodie laced, that didn't smell at all when I got it, so I thought this one would be fine.
I bought a medium but it’s really tight around the shoulders, so better size it up!
I still waiting for the Larga so not a full report from me yet. Nevertheless I love the product and it feels like good quality.
