EASTER, THE NORWEGIAN WAY
Swedish ski standouts Lisa Hörnblad, former World Cup alpine racer, and Anna Swenn Larsson, World Cup slalom racer, joined us for a proper Norwegian Easter in Jotunheimen, with the historic mountain lodge Leirvassbu as our base. Anna was originally set to race the Swedish Alpine Championships, but when rain washed the event away, plans shifted quickly.
One look at the weather forecast later, the decision was made. With just a day’s notice, they packed the car and drove from Sweden to Jotunheimen, arriving to clear skies, quiet mountains, and the rare luxury of having the high alpine almost entirely to ourselves, just one week before the Easter holiday would fill the area with Norwegians on break.
